ECO-FRIENDLY AMAZON FINDS
m all about becoming educated in the world we live in- the good, the bad, and the ugly. Maybe it’s because I’m a young adult and paving the path for how I want to live my life. There are many people that I know who have decided to take the reins and live their life to their fullest.
You may call my lifestyle crunchy but I absolutely love trying DIYs, eating more greens, lathering my “potions” (that’s what my boyfriend calls my oils), decluttering, elimating one time use product. I love making the planet a better place so I want to try and help one piece at a time. I found seven items on Amazon that absolutely LOVE! While this is only the start, hopefully this will help get your brain thinking about how to live a better lifestyle.
I ordered the sandwich sized reusable food bags and I love them! These stasher bags are 100% silicone, no BPA, no PVC, and no latex. Safe for the microwave, dishwasher, fridge, and freezer. Easy to use for little ones as well! If you love it, you can find huge bundles at stasherbag.com.
I ordered a huge amber glass bottle bundle because I use them for everything. I use the Thieves Household cleaner which is concentrated and mix it all in the glass spray bottles. When using any essential oils long term, it’s important to only use glass and metal. Often times over time the essential oils will weaken the plastic and that may mean you will ingest or apply these plastic molecules.
Dryer sheets are filled with toxic chemicals plus they are only a one time use so I decided to swap them wool dryer balls. I love my wool dryer balls because I can pick and choose which scent I want on my clothes. I add a few drops of essential oil to my wool dryer balls and pop them in the dryer. My favorite essential oils are Purification, Gentle Baby, and Citrus Fresh.
4. “Cotton” Makeup Remover Pads
Let’s get rid of those one time use products! I personally haven’t tried this brand but I absolutely love my makeup remover pads. I often use them when I apply my ART toner every morning and night. I choose this brand because it comes with a bag to put your used round pads and wash them. I have also found that I don’t use as much product like my toner with a fabric product rather than cotton.
5. Ball 24oz Mason Jars Wide Mouth
I was sick and tired of the hundreds of different cups and to-go bottles that I have in my kitchen cabinets. I personally needed to de-clutter and throw out those plastic cups. I needed a glass that would work for my essential oils. This is the perfect size of cup, perfect for NingXia because it has measurements on the side, and I don’t have to worry about the cup breaking down. For our house, this is now our daily drinking cup plus our on the go cups.
6. Mason Jar Straw Lids and Metal Straws plus cleaner
These are a perfect match to the Ball 24oz Wide Mouth Mason Jars that I mentioned above. These are awesome because no plastic, no single use straws, and they even have a lid stopper when you are not using a straw. These are farmhouse chic but also eco-friendly!
